HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Shaun Bistricki

We have had a very hot start to the year, especially for physical education classes. Well done to all students for participating with enthusiasm, despite the heat. A reminder; that all students to remember to bring a hat, wear sunscreen and bring a full bottle of water to all PE classes.

As part of Sporting Schools Government funding, Grades 1, 2, 3 & 5 students will be participating this term in a 4 week tennis program, receiving coaching from professional Tennis Australia instructors during their normal PE classes. Each term we will be picking a different sport and are hoping to involve as many primary classes as possible.

Primary Tennis Clinics

Secondary students have been learning about Nutrition in Year 8 & 10 and Mental Health in Grades 7 & 9. Some students have still not purchased their textbooks, this must be done by Term Two at the latest. In PE, secondary students have been training for the interschool volleyball competitions and teams will be picked in the coming weeks, good luck in all of the competitions.

Pastoral Care Girls

Nesibe Yuksel

Grade Six girls have started pastoral care for the year.

During our after school programs, we have discussions, play games or have various art activities together. The girls are bonding and friendships are already growing. Our weekend program for Term One is also coming up and the girls are excited.

We look forward to an amazing year with the Grade Six girls.
